The Curricular Unit main purpose is to study relationship between the energy sector and the sustainability problems that are presented to current societies. In particular, it is intended with this UC to lead the student to:

1. understand the challenges associated with the transformation of energy systems and the change in the current energy supply paradigm;
2. to know the environmental implications of the energy sector, in particular climate change;
3. to acquire the necessary methodological instruments for the intervention of the future engineers in the change of energy paradigm;
4. to acquire the fundamental knowledge at the level of the energy management for the sustainability at the level of the Company.
